Revised Question
Hello fellow students. Welcome to Mount Olympus! Here we will be discussing the characteristics of the different gods and godesses. My question to the class is using your prior knowlage of the gods and the links I have provided below which god do you feel is the most relateable to you and why? I would like for you to relate as much of yourself as possible to the god that you have selected. Many gods are known for their different feats throughout acient Greek history.

Your blog is starting to come together nicely. I'm glad you wer able to fix all those quirky kinks in the beginning. Your blog provides plenty of information for students to get a feel of the Greek gods. The use of links and videos is a good variety for students who learn differently. My suggestion would be to liven up your blog a little. Maybe add some color or background image. As for your question, maybe you should move the sentance "Many gods are known for their different feats throughout acient Greek history." I feel like you were going somewhere with this but just stopped. I hope that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteExcellent points Liz! I agree with your suggestions about adding a bit of color and maybe even a background image. The sentence yu are referring to is certainly a bit ambiguous in the context in which it is placed. Maybe it can lead to futire assignments that would have the students choose one of the gods and research their particular feats.

ReplyDeleteWill, maybe you could take the photo you posted below and use that as your background. I wouldn't remove the question, it just sounds like it is more of a statement than a question. Elaborate a little more on the statement and have that as an introduction to your question.
DeleteI enjoyed the videos you put up, they are all very informative and is a nice touch to have on your blog, since there are so many gods/goddesses. If anything, I would add more color or something to your background just to give your blog more of a pop to it. Also, I just also wanted to point out that knowledge needs to be fixed. Other than that you did a very nice job!

DeleteWill your Blog is ver nice! i like the question you have. I will make the students think. i think it will give them self confidence as well because they will be comparing themselves to a god! i agree with Liz about moving that last sentence up into the paragraph, it does not seem like it fits there. I also think that you should find a picture of the Greek gods to put as your background. So that the students are just fully surrounded by greek gods in your blog! Great job Will!

DeleteNice job using videos to spark some motivation in your students. One suggestion I have is to have an example up of how you want the students to answer your question. For example: you could answer your own question on your blog so your students could get a better idea of what you want from them. That always helps me as a student!Great Job!
